Welcome to the Korean Center

Korean Center, Incorporated (KCI) is a community-based, non-profit organization established in 1974 to assist newly arrived Korean immigrants and others to realize their full potential in America through education, training, and cultural and social services.

In its 39 years of service, KCI has played a pioneering role not only in assisting new immigrants, but also in promoting Korean culture to the American public in the City of San Francisco and the greater Bay Area through a broad spectrum of lectures, workshops, and exhibitions.

Korean Language Program (King Sejong Institute. San Francisco)

King Sejong Institute is integrated brand name of Institute of Korean Language, supported and designated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the International Korean Language Foundation to introduce and teach Korean and Korean culture for learners of Korean language as a foreign language.

A variety of Korean language classes are offered, from basic grammar to advanced conversation, for those who want to learn about Korea and its language and culture. Conveniently scheduled once a week in the evenings, KLP is perfect for working adults as well as students seeking to further their academic, professional, or personal goals. Private tutoring is also available on a flexible schedule to meet the student’s needs. All instructors possess or qualify for advanced degrees in education and Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language (TKFL).
