TaLK & EPIK PROGRAM

Experience Dynamic Korea as a TaLK Scholar or an English Teacher


TaLK PROGRAM “ TEACH AND LEARN IN KOREA “

The Korean Ministry of Education, Science & Technology invites qualified undergraduate(graduate) students who teach and learn in Korea .

Selected scholars will receive Korean government scholarships and teach English in after-school classes of Korean elementary schools while enjoying cultural experience programs during their leisure time with either a six-month or one-year contract.

 

BENEFITS

•  Scholarship of 1.5 million KRW per month(approximately $1,200)

•  Personal Accommodation or home-stay, Round-trip air ticket, Medical

insurance cover, etc

 

Eligibility

•  Citizen of a country where English is the primary language

•  Ethnic Koreans with legal residencies are eligible

•  An undergraduate student with two or more years of university education, or a college/university graduate

•  Ethnic Koreans who are in their 1 st or 2 nd year of college are eligible

•  Korean Fluency is not required

 

CONTRACT TERM

•  Six months : Aug, 2009~Jan, 2010 One-year : Aug, 2009~July, 2010

EPIK PROGRAM “ ENGLISH PROGRAM IN KOREA “

 
The Korean Ministry of Education, Science & Technology is seeking adventurous and enthusiastic native English speakers who are motivated to work as guest English teachers in public middle and high schools in Korea .


BENEFITS

•  Monthly Salary : 1.8~2.7 Million KRW(approximately 1,200~2,300 USD)

•  Rent-free furnished housing arrangement, Round-trip air ticket, Medical

insurance cover, etc

 

Eligibility

•  Citizen of a country where English is the primary language

•  Ethnic Koreans with legal residencies are eligible

•  Have Bachelor's degree in any major

★ Korean Fluency is not required

 

CONTRACT TERM

•  One-year : Aug 26, 2009~August 25, 2010
